Dakar is home to some of Africa’s best museums and mosques, cliff walks and beaches. The Senegalese capital makes a convenient jumping point for excursions to any of Senegal’s national parks, nature reserves and to the beautiful Saint-Louis, known for its colonial architecture and its Eiffel designed bridge. The Saint-Louis Jazz Festival attracts musicians from across the world and is one of Africa’s top festival.
