COME WITH US & INDULGE IN THE BLACKVOYAGEURS EXPERIENCE!

A LIFETIME OF VOYAGES

Two decades of traveling under our belts means that we know what it takes to have a good time, anywhere. And now you do too. Our team has traveled, lived and worked in many countries around the world

OUR FRIENDS ARE YOUR FRIENDS

As they say, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. We’ve cultivated incredible relationships with locals over the years and you’ll meet them too, because we’re friends. You’ll also get top-of-the-line food and service because you’re with us. In other words, we’ve got people.

THE COLLECTIVE EXPERIENCE

We all have a well traveled friend that has explored the world and has the best recommendations and tips for about any destination in the world, right? Well imagine this friend is traveling with you to Haiti. Telling you about the food, shopping & views, extremely positive, supportive, grounded and drama free? That’s us. We’ve put together the best combination of culture, history and beach, just for you!

SERVICE THAT MATTERS

You’re not just another booking number to us. You’re an honored guest and a valuable part of our family. No matter what time of day or night (even in the wee hours of the morning), you can count on us. We will be able to assist you in French, Creole and well hmmm English ah ah.

A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER

Throughout this experience, your group will be accompanied by a pro photographer to capture every moment, day in, day out, so you don’t have to. Each morning, he will send you a selection of his best shots for you to share with the world. That means you can just focus on enjoying the moment.

THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

We make a lot of efforts to deeply understand you. We understand what you want to see, do, and experience. Unlike many tour operators more interested in quantity, we take pride in seeking quality. The only difference is, now we understand the nuances that allow us to navigate faraway places like locals. This unique perspective will give you a “best of both worlds” experience.

FRIENDS THAT LAST A LIFETIME

We understand that who you share your travel experience with is just as important as where you go. Therefore, we make sure that you travel with like minded people! Our groups are fun-loving, drama free, and a joy to be around. They are open-minded, international and diverse. We want you to be able to network, build friendships and keep growing these relationships after the trip, and come back for more 😉

THIS IS A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

RENEWED INSPIRATION

“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.” – Oliver Wendell Holmes Well, we strongly believe in this! Travel continuously connects you to inspiration that’s proven to fuel a happy, healthy lifestyle. The most successful people in the world constantly pursue inspiration and purpose. Experiencing a sense of purpose, gratitude, and vitality are all direct results of feeling inspired. And those who seek inspiration find it.

LIVE A DREAM YOU NEVER KNEW EXISTED

We’ve all heard it: “Investment in travel is an investment in yourself.” ~ Matthew Karsten. If you have dreams to see the world, don’t you owe it to yourself to realize them? We understand that life interjects and bills pile up. But when you look back at your life in five years, what do you want to see? Ambitions reached or dreams put out to dry?

A VOYAGE THAT IS ALSO GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH

Immerse yourself in an exotic experience. Every day you’ll eat an haitian diet full of fresh vegetables, healing spices, and local seafood or meat. We’ll also be walking daily, including a beautiful hike into the hills and valleys in Cote des Arcadins for the most motivated ones.

WE GOT YOU

If you have ever felt like you’re always on the go, but have very little time for yourself? We got you. Think about it. What if, just for a change, you let us take care of you? We want you to sit back, relax back and leave all the planning and headaches to us. In fact, you’re gonna need time to think about the more important details: like if you’re gonna drink another glass of rum and not worry about driving home.

CONNECT TO A MORE CAREFREE YOU

In a work-obsessed culture, busy is glorified, and financial wealth is superior to emotional or spiritual wealth. But this trip is about putting inner wealth and health first. Who doesn’t need more time to connect with the person you’re meant to be.

THERE ARE PLENTY OF TOUR GROUPS OF THIRTY PEOPLE TRAVELING IN A BIG BUS. WE’RE NOT ONE OF THEM.

WE’VE PURPOSELY LIMITED OUR HAITIAN EXPERIENCE TO A SMALL NUMBER OF PEOPLE. WE WANT YOU TO FEEL AT EASE AS IF YOU WERE TRAVELING WITH YOUR CREW, NOT A FOOTBALL TEAM.

Just think about it. We could totally pack a bunch of people on this trip like most tour companies would. Hint: we have thousands of people on our waitlist.

But this is group travel for people who don’t normally go on group trips. We want you to travel like a local, so we keep our numbers low. We know that small group travel is a great balance of fun and simplicity, and it’s better than traveling alone.

HERE ARE THE PERKS OF TRAVELING WITH US

  • It’s so much more fun than traveling alone.
  • You’ll meet the most epic people.
  • It’s easier than traveling with a friend because we handle all the planning.
  • You have the luxury of drivers and guides to help you with everything.
  • You have a professional photographer by your side.
  • You’ll get the real deal Haiti! Not just the things you can find in a guidebook or what you see on TV.
WHO IS THIS TRIP FOR AND FAQ

HAVE YOU ALREADY VISITED HAITI?

Awesome. So you know how amazing it is — and how much there is to see and do (and eat) there! But think of how much richer your experience could be when you travel with someone who knows the locals and all the secret spots? Unless you have an haitian friend and stayed with them at their home, it’s impossible not to feel like a tourist. We offer an alternative to that.

WILL THIS BE YOUR FIRST TRIP TO HAITI?

Oh boy, you are in for the biggest treat. If it’s your first time, you’ll love the safety of traveling with our group, and the ease of having all your hotels, transportation, activities and meals sorted out for you. You’ll love that you won’t have to worry about getting lost, ripped off, or hassling with foreign currency. We take care of everything.

BUT HOLD ON. THIS TRIP ISN’T FOR EVERYONE.

IT IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You love insider knowledge: you value traveling with someone who knows the ropes.
  • You’re not afraid to try new things, including but not limited to some amazing cuisine.
  • You love to have a great time and are open to meeting others.
  • You’re down with some strenuous physical exercise.

THIS TRIP IS NOT FOR YOU IF:

  • You have a tendency to be negative or dramatic, or are just plain depressing to be around.
  • You’re not into trying new things or stepping outside of your comfort zone.
  • You don’t like Haitian food. That is what we’ll be eating. Every day. (If you’re a vegetarian, or on a restricted diet, you’ll be fine.)
  • You’re a wild party animal that doesn’t respect local cultures.
  • You can’t easily walk up stairs. If you find walking tough, then this trip isn’t suited to you.

“If you reject the food, ignore the customs, fear the religion and avoid the people, you might better stay at home.” – James Michener

I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS, CAN YOU HELP?

We thought you’d never ask. Email [email protected] or [email protected] so we can meet you and give you personal advice.

I’M NOT A “TOUR PERSON” AND I USUALLY PLAN MY OWN TRIPS.

Great — you’ll fit right in as our guests are looking for something different, too. Think of this as a trip planned by a local friend, something you would never be able to pull off on your own. We offer you daily activities but don’t feel pressured to do anything — it’s your experience.

WILL I BE TOO OLD, OR TOO YOUNG?

Our guests range in age from their 20s to their 40s. Age doesn’t mean much when we’re all searching for a better life. Our experiences are more adventurous, so in that sense, it does require that you are healthy and can walk or hike easily.

*If you arrive before 1pm local time and depart before 5pm local time

HEAR WHAT PAST GUESTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT TRAVELING WITH US

“My first time to Haiti. When I decided to go to Haiti all I wanted to do was see and experience something different. I had no expectations. I was just so excited to go lol. Of course I heard about it being poor and dangerous but so are other places I’ve visited. I felt safe both times (Feb. 2017 & Aug. 2017). It’s a beautiful country, the people are nice, the food is delicious and the beaches are gorgeous. I’ve learned so much about Haiti. It’s one of my favorite places to visit now. I’m very happy I traveled with Haiti Nou La! Everything was great! I didn’t feel like a tourist. All of the excursions and activities were well planned. They make sure your experience is one of a kind and fun. I recommend HNL for your Haitian experience! See ya next time!”

— Sharon, New York

“I just came back from a trip with Haiti Nou La and it was terrific. I have been to Haiti before, but I was able to see places that I had not been to before traveling alone. Everything was very well run and authentic. I will definitely travel with Haiti Nou La again”

— Steven, New York

” My trip was amazing. It was a lovely group of people and I felt like i was among friends the whole time. It was my first time in Haiti and I don’t think there could have been any better introduction than this. I told my friends and I definetely will be back”

— Bruno, Paris

STILL NOT CONVINCED?

As you may know, Haiti is a heady blend of color, music, and culture. The beaches are absolutely breathtaking. The ancient walls of Jacmel are insanely colorful and PAP has one of the most thrilling culture of the Caribbean.

For a whole week, you’ll be immersed in traditional Haitian architecture, vibrant streets, unparalleled culture, and authentic Haitian food.

We don’t just lay down the beach in a fancy (not so fancy) all inclusive resort for a week… We mix things up and actually discover what the island has to offer, day-tripping to a few hand-picked highlights throughout the week. That way, you have the time and space to form a special connection to this land, its people, and your new friends.
